VDI talk in January 2024: Post-processing in the Additive Manufacturing
In January 2024, an insightful talk of the hybrid lecture series “Polymers in Industry and Science” took place at LKT. The Polymer Technology Network of VDI Bayern Nordost organizes monthly talks to various aspects of polymer processing and application, ideal for mutual exchange of knowledge and the development of new collaborations.
The event on 11 January 2024 had the theme “From 3D-printed Plastic Raw Part to Finished Product – How Post-processing Technologies transform the Additive Manufacturing”. Jonas Koopmann from the start-up DyeMansion presented various approaches for the post-treatment of surfaces in the powder-based Additive Manufacturing of polymers, illustrated by many use cases and demonstration parts. We cordially thank Mr. Koopmann for this informative talk!
The next talk will be held on Thursday, 01 February 2024 at 4 p.m. by Christian Ebenhöh from Evosys. He will present current industrial developments in the Laser Plastic Welding.
