Certificate Course “Additive Manufacturing”
Powder-based additive manufacturing with polymers – this topic was addressed in a multifaceted certificate course last week.
The two seminar days were part of the certificate course “Additive Manufacturing” offered by IHK. In cooperation with ambitious powered by toolcraft, this course provided the basics of additive manufacturing with both metals and polymers.
In a balanced combination of theoretical and practical modules, we presented the process fundamentals of the Selective Laser Sintering and relevant properties of polymers. We worked together on methods for the material characterization, the slicing process and build job preparation, post-processing steps in SLS and possibilities for the qualification of the manufactured samples. This gave the participants a comprehensive insight into the SLS processes and key properties.
We congratulate the participants to their certificates and look back on two exciting days with many fruitful discussions.
