Joining Technology
When polymer parts cannot be produced in a single manufacturing step due to their complexity, the use of joining technologies becomes necessary. Joining methods such as adhesive bonding, screw fastening, or snap connections are employed to permanently or reversibly connect polymer parts, depending on the requirements for load-bearing capacity and flexibility.
In polymer welding, thermoplastic materials are melted at the connection points by applying heat and are then joined under pressure, creating a solid and highly durable bond.
At the LKT, various welding systems are utilized in the field of joining technology.
