Pre- and Post-Processing
In addition to the primarily used equipment, several ovens, a plasma system for surface treatment, and a water jet cutter are also in operation.
Debinding ovens are used to remove binders from shaped workpieces without affecting their structure, thereby preparing them for the subsequent sintering process. In sintering ovens, workpieces are densified and hardened at high temperatures by fusing particles together without fully melting them, which is particularly used in powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing. The plasma system is used to modify material surfaces through plasma-induced processes, improving properties such as adhesion, wettability, or chemical reactivity.
