Laboratories
Qualified staffs from different laboratories support the researches by conducting both development work and tests.
The operational ranges are listed as follows:
Physical and chemical properties of materials can be studied by using the existing analytical devices. The Institute of Polymer Technology has a wide range of measuring devices so that the materials can be fully characterized.
Beside research works, microscopic methods is also applied for quality control and defect analysis. The Institute of Polymer Technology has a wide range of microscopic devices to enable a comprehensive materials characterization.
A comprehensive specimen characterization and safer parts design can be realized by mechanical tests. Besides the wide range of traditional mechanical measuring devices, the Institute of Polymer Technology also has self-constructed devices, which can be applied for individual testing requirements.
Tribology is the science of friction, lubrication and wear and encompasses how interacting surfaces and other tribo-elements behave in relative motion in natural and artificial systems. For many products and researches, the tribological properties should be measured under the required boundary conditions. Besides Know-How about tribological tests and their interpretations, the Institute of Polymer Technology also has essential experience of conducting tribological tests.
